I am a mathematician working as an Assistant Professor at Grand Rapids Community College. Previously I was a visiting assistant teaching professor at Wellesley College, as well as a visiting assistant professor at Boston College. I completed my PhD at the University of Illinois Chicago where I was a student of Emily Dumas.
My research interests lie in differential geometry, geometric structures, and negatively curved spaces. I am affiliated with Wellesley College's Institute for Mathematics and Democracy, and I am interested in the applications of geometry to political districting. I also seek to implement methods to make introductory math curricula less stressful and more relevant to students' lives.
